BrightStart Patients Dominate & Celebrate
The story of Wednesday at BrightStart Orlando begins on Tuesday.
Tuesday saw the Orlando crew enjoying mild spring weather with a gardening day. Smiling faces and pretty little flowers!
Then came Wednesday morning, and the rather brisk temperatures and flat, overcast skies had a chilling effect on attendance, leaving a core group of patients to make up for all the noise and energy of their missing comrades.
While the gray skies may have put a damper on the outside activities, Orlando’s Track & Field Day went on full speed ahead with some modifications for available space. Modified challenges of basketball, baseball, gimme-that-ball and hula hoops pushed these party-hard spring breakers to the limits of their caregivers’ stamina. It doesn’t matter how the games were played – it’s Spring Break, and we’ll make the rules, thank you very much.
Just when things looked like they were winding down, a bounce house pulled in nearly every patient. We’re happy to report that no nurses were injured and all participants were thoroughly worn out by the time lunch was called.
It turned out to be a rowdy, perfect spring break day – don’t tell anyone how much fun they missed! But don’t just take our word for it, check out this photo gallery and give those smile muscles a workout!
