Busy and hot – that’s the usual report for Central Florida in August.
It’s definitely the report for patients at BrightStart Pediatrics. While some patients began a new adventure with school back in session, others kept busy inside with nursing, therapy and love.
BrightStart Winter Garden enjoyed a visit with Dr. Nicolas Lonabaugh DO, a pediatric resident with the Orlando Health System.

Dr. Lonabaugh is a Sanford native in his second year of pediatric residency with the Orlando Health system. He plans to pursue a fellowship and is deciding between Oncology or Endocrinology, then return to Central Florida.

Thank you to Dr. Lonabaugh for stopping by to learn about our PPEC program, and thanks to our friends at Orlando Health for coordinating his visit.

Busy Bodies at Orlando
They may be pre-schoolers, but the kids at BrightStart Orlando are having plenty of fun working their way through books, learning toys and engaging activities that keep them out of the August heat.
In case they get restless, there’s always therapy to wind things up and burn some extra calories.

Circle Time at Sanford
Circle time brings patients and caregivers together for some singing and learning.

It’s a brand new day to have fun naming the months of the year and saying good morning. Wait, that wasn’t actually a sentence, it’s the name of the favorite circle time songs!

While regular play and art projects continue, schedules are adjusted to provide energetic inside activities since the playground is too hot to handle.
