Healthy Start Meets BrightStart

Nursing, Therapy & Love: The Experience

BrightStart Sanford kicked off October with visitors!

Monday and Tuesday of this week saw the staff from the Healthy Start Coalition of Seminole County tour our Sanford center.

BrightStart President Linda Brown gave a guided tour of the Sanford center and fielded questions. While some of the guests may have been familiar with the PPEC program, this was their first experience in visiting, affording them the opportunity to observe the nursing and therapy staff at work.

The Healthy Start Coalition of Seminole County is full of fresh new faces … like this one!

BrightStart has been privileged to work with the Healthy Start Coalition over the years. This week’s visit was very special, as we were able to have their entire staff visit the center and see how our PPEC program functions first hand.

Things are beginning to look a little batty around the center for October.
In keeping with the latest trends, this artwork was created with pumpkin spice.
Visitors or not, story time is going down, and it’s awesome.

BrightStart is honored by the positive feedback we got from our visitors and we appreciate their interest in this important resource for our area.

Thanks to everyone at the Healthy Start Coalition of Seminole County, and their Executive Director Carmen Guzman, for coordinating this great interaction.

What is Healthy Start?

The Florida Healthy Start program provides education, support and proven intervention to expecting families and new families who are at risk of a poor birth outcome or delay in development.

Their mission statement doesn’t begin to describe the incredible impact they have in Seminole County.

BrightStart always looks forward to being a part of the Healthy Start annual Baby Shower, which will return in April 2024 as an in-person event for the first time since 2019.

Be sure to stop by their website to learn more about them here.
