BrightStart patients make terrific progress in our program of nursing, therapy and love. When it comes to “Fun Therapy” we sometimes bring in other experts from the field: Our friends at Guardians of Justice.
What started out as fairly rainy, dull Friday was transformed into pure fun with the help of the dedicated members of the the Guardians of Justice, who represented a wide range of characters. Visiting were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Raphael, Spiderman, The Green Arrow, Batman, a Jedi Knight, Darth Vader and Kylo Ren. Rounding out this incredible multi-verse of characters were the ladies: Mulan, Rogue of the X-Men, and Rapunzel.
Some of our patients showed their own superhero colors with t-shirts, hats, and even masks and capes!
For the most part, these costumed heroes (and villains who are also cool when they’re not being villains) were well received. As with most BrightStart events, we’ve also captured the reactions which were less than enthusiastic, because while it’s true that the sun shines every day here, it’s not always all smiles.
