Water Day Marks Start of Summer
June means summer! BrightStart PPEC centers are gearing up for fun with the weekly water day ritual. In the coming weeks we will check in with the water mania at each location. Get your sunglasses ready for Fun in the Sun Friday at BrightStart Orlando and hands in the air for Thurs-Yay Water Day at BrightStart Sanford.
Winter Garden’s first water day coincided with a visit from Dr. Quintell Johnson MD. Dr. Johnson is a pediatric resident with the AdventHealth system and got her introduction to the PPEC program on a busy day! You can learn more about Dr. Johnson here.
Also on the guest list were students from Galen College of Nursing, who got hands experience during their clinical rotation. This was the second group of students to visit from Galen College, but the first at Winter Garden. Learn more about Galen College’s Nursing program here.
The first Friday in June doubled down on visitors with a pair of pediatric residents from the Orlando Health system, Dr. Anthony Bates MD and Dr. Geeta Iyer DO. Both physicians toured the Winter Garden center with Program Director Linda Brown and Director of Nursing Karen Peters.
