All October is a Treat
WARNING: Material in BrightStart’s October posts will be very candy-corny. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Patients and staff at BrightStart Pediatrics are offering up plenty of treats for October, and we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeve, too!
This year we thought we’d highlight fun throughout the month. We’ll check out some center decorations, and instead of a spooky hayride we’re going to take a crazy ride in the Staff Time Machine™. It’s your chance to witness firsthand those Halloweens past of staff members brave enough to share their childhood. Keep checking back to see who might show up next.
Hey, someone’s at the door … it must be the latest update!
Wednesday October 23rd
Fall festivities are in full swing at BrightStart Sanford, with plenty of Halloween decorations and some fall art.

“This is Halloween c. 1966-67? Our Mom made/sewed all of our costumes.“

Kaitlyn
“My mom took my sister and I to a fall festival at Cranes Roost. My sister dressed up as a skeleton and I was dressed as a 1950’s girl. In the photo we acted like she was coming out of the grave and scaring me.“
Looks like we need to talk about that exterminator again. These cute little spiders are all over the place!

Linda
“I was two … and wanted to be the wolf instead of Red Riding Hood, hence the snarl!”

“I was 2 as Dorothy. My brother is the scarecrow next to me you can really tell how itchy he was from his face.
Not sure how old I was as Red Riding Hood, I would have to guess around 5. My brother is behind me in that picture but he’s clearly not a very good vampire since you can see his reflection.“
Behind the scenes: Our Advanced Method Acting class for preschoolers helps prepare kids for every kind of photo shoot.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our little peek at BrightStart’s October! Keep checking back in, since we’ve still got plenty of fun stuff to share.
Thanks again to our staff members for letting us navigate back to their Halloweens of the past!
Tuesday October 8th
With Hurricane Milton causing mischief we’ve got plenty of frights already this October!
Maybe it’s time to fire up the Staff Time Machine™, and check in with some of our other fun faces.

“My first Halloween at 8 years old. My family just moved from Venezuela, where winters can be 30-50 degrees. 80 degrees October was bizarre, and I wanted to be a Hawaiian girl. We did not know what Halloween was so it was all very new and exciting! I remember feeling REALLY REALLY American for being able to dress up and go through the neighborhood grabbing candy and celebrating this very foreign holiday!”
