Little Voices Sing Big Rejoices

Elves Off Shelves, PPEC Patients Off The Chain

It may become a holiday urban legend: BrightStart Orlando, in the holiday decorating frenzy, set up an area as ‘Santa’s Workshop’.

Then on Wednesday morning … it was filled with gifts … and Santa Claus was there!

Patients got to visit with Santa and received gifts ahead of next week’s big holiday.

Photo Guy Pro Tip: If one subject in your photo is about a head taller than the other, just cut off half of the head. In photography this is called composition.

A jolly time was had by all, despite a slight hiccup with all the clocks as Santa’s visit was cut short by an hour. BrightStart can state with confidence that our Staff Time Machine™ functioned within specifications to retrieve a few memories from Orlando staff without any measurable quantum disruption.

With Santa at three years old.

“Listen, I’ve seen it. They’ve got the cookies just sitting out in the open, I just need a distratction to get out there.”

However, a highly confidential source told us this:

The schedule conflict was created because Santa has to get to a debriefing at NASA Wednesday before noon.

Last night Santa made what could have been a catastrophic decision to visit the International Space Station overnight. (They get stuff from him. You know that, right?)

A new Sleighliner rocket capsule, whose notoriously delayed construction was outsourced to a new elf technology corporation, failed its return preflight check. This nearly left Santa stranded in orbit, apparently a common problem in the last twelve months. Elf-hats off to one of the North Pole’s special technicians, Nole Ksum, who was able to implement an emergency return for Santa.

“Christmas c. 1965 with my Mom and siblings  (Dad taking the picture ). I seem pretty excited about that doll, but can’t recall what she was called.

Holiday cheer was raised several degrees with the return of guest Elf Ryan (and his agent, Senior Elf Mark).

But we can’t talk elves without mentioning the VSNA Union Elves … because of the Union, but also because they provided us with four terrific smiling faces who helped Santa deliver joy to our patients.

Thank you so much Melissa, Ariadna, Rayatah and Jennifer! We are so glad you could join us today!

“Six months old, picture with Santa at the mall.”

What a wild, wonderful way to spend Wednesday! Thank you, BrightStart Orlando team, for putting together a holiday destination for all our precious patients and their families.

So awkward. You ask your parents for a PlayStation…
… and you get a Stacking Station toy.

“The cutesy one was most likely taken at a JC Penney store with my older sister Ashley. I have no idea what I’m doing in the other photo or why I’m doing it.”
