The BrightStart Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) program gets medically fragile infants and children where they need to be, just like a perfect commute: fast, safe and easy. Conveniently located in Winter Garden, Sanford and Orlando, BrightStart PPEC centers provide skilled pediatric nursing for a variety of patients. No need to change lanes – BrightStart also offers on-site Physical, Speech and Occupational therapy services.
BrightStart Pediatrics PPEC centers serve infants, toddlers and preschoolers with a wide range of skilled nursing and therapy needs. However, just because we have different patients and services under one roof doesn’t mean they are treated in one area.
Infants have different needs than toddlers, and non-mobile children need a different environment than pre-school children… you get the idea. It’s here that the BrightStart Pediatrics PPEC program is so unique: our facilities are specifically designed to fit the developmental needs of our patients. Babies receive care in a nursery setting; toddlers move, learn and grow among similarly developing children… again, you get the idea. Our design accommodates a wide range of patients and you won’t find this from any other PPEC provider in Central Florida.
While skilled nursing and therapy occur throughout the day, these services don’t occupy the whole day. So what does a BrightStart patient do all day?
- In the springtime, they enjoy Spring Break. Yes, Spring Break.
- In the summer, they enjoy water activities at the centers and in the community.
- In the fall, they enjoy costumes, trick-or-treat, and Thanksgiving.
- In the winter, they experience the magic of Christmas with Santa, decorations and festivities and gifts.
Between all those regular holidays and events there are field trips, special visitors, music therapy and more to promote the growth and development of our precious little patients.
When you’re making a decision about a PPEC provider for your child, your research probably starts here, online. BrightStart Pediatrics is the only provider offering an authentic look at our services – you see our staff, our facilities, and our patients. We do this on a regular basis because we can. When it comes to the care of your child, we know the value of knowing who’s behind the “we” in “we are”.
We’re here to help. Have a look around our website, get to know us, and please, make a road trip and visit in person. It’s worth the ride.
