Occupational Therapy Month Plays Out at Brightstart

A soggy day could not dampen spirits at BrightStart Winter Garden. AdventHealth Pediatric Resident Dr. Naomi Edwin DO got to see the BrightStart PPEC program first hand.

This was Dr. Edwin’s first exposure to PPEC, introduced by Program Director Linda Brown and with a clinical review by Nursing Director Karen Peters. She made some new friends and enjoyed the current gallery of patient art on display.

Dr. Edwin hopes to stay in sunny Florida when she finishes her residency, and prefers the clinical setting. BrightStart thanks our partners at AdventHealth for making this visit possible, and you can learn more about Dr. Edwin here.

April is National Occupational Therapy month, so we’re including a peek at some of the BrightStart OT crew doing what they do best!

At BrightStart Sanford, preschool patients have been busy with alphabet studies and anxious for playground time between rainy days. They also took time to chat with visiting ducks.
