Visit Brings Cheer for New Year

BrightStart Winter Garden welcomed their first official visitor of the new year!

Dr. Rushell Reid DO, a pediatric resident with AdventHealth, got an introduction to BrightStart’s Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care program.

Founder and owner Linda Brown, along with Nursing Director Karen Peters RN, briefed Dr. Reid on the clinical and therapeutic benefits for medically fragile patients.

As it happened, there were plenty of patients on hand to demonstrate how much love plays a part in the world of BrightStart.

*Dr. Reid was welcomed to circle time with the Winter Garden group.*

*“I won’t spoil the end, but I was up all night until I finished it!”*

Dr. Reid is enjoying her second year in pediatric residency with AdventHealth. The Orlando area counts almost as home, with some family in south Florida. She said she hasn’t quite decided where her career might take her – on to a specialty or forward into general pediatrics.
