February Fun, Looking for Spring

Speech Therapy’s Word of The Day: Catch!
Music Therapy helps kids with the new Sun Dance, which cleanses the area of chilly weather.

BrightStart patients are just beginning to shows signs of the one fever that doesn’t bother the nursing staff: Spring fever!

At BrightStart Orlando, patients are busier than ever with their steady regimen of nursing, therapy and love. Music therapy has been a welcome sight (or is it sound?) to provide a soundtrack to the proceedings.

Last week BrightStart Winter Garden enjoyed a warm and happy Friday that included a visit from Dr. Daisy Fernandes MD, a Pediatric Resident with Orlando Health.

Dr. Fernandes was familiar with the PPEC program but had not been through for a visit. Program Director and Owner Linda Brown and Nursing Director Karen Peters provided her with a thorough orientation. Winter Garden Patient Love Ambassadors made sure she felt right at home.

Rainbows & Pots of Gold, just around the corner!
Observant visitors to our last photo gallery may have spotted Easter decorations in progress. Not to be outdone, Nurse Brianna O’Thompson put the party mood in Friday with her St. Patrick’s Day scrub top.

Dr. Fernandes hopes to stay in the Orlando area when her residency is completed. You can learn more about her here.
