Starting the week with new friends
BrightStart Winter Garden started the week with a tour from Dr. Sierra Sanchez MD.
Dr. Sanchez is a pediatric resident with AdventHealth and currently sees patients in Winter Park. As part of an ongoing partnership she received her first exposure to PPEC with an introduction from Program Director Linda Brown. Director of Nursing Karen Peters provided a detailed clinical orientation on patients as they went through their day.
Dr. Sanchez has not quite settled on her path after her residency is completed. Originally from California, she and her husband do love the Central Florida area. You can learn more about Dr. Sanchez here.
Staff and patients had a great time showing how vital PPEC services are for medically fragile children and as a bridge for communicating with physicians.
Between all the grown-up stuff about nursing and therapy, Dr. Sanchez got to see the love part of BrightStart and make some new friends.
